Karolina Pospiszil-Drong (born in 1986) – PhD, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Literary Studies and a member of The Silesian Centre for the Study of Regional and Transborder Memory at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She is a researcher of minority and regional literatures. Her work focuses primarily on Upper Silesian literature, its social dimensions, and the cultural memory of minoritised groups. She is the PI of the project ‘The Community-Creating Power of Text: Upper Silesian Literature 1989–2023’, funded by the Polish National Science Centre, in which she is researching the Upper Silesian literary field. In 2024, she was a member of the Council for the Silesian Language.
